A friend of mine got laid off and did nothing but sit in his house, watch soap operas all day and eat straight-up peanut butter. I was trying to gain weight so I tried the peanut butter thing. It's really disgusting but after a while you acquire a taste for it. I gained about ten lbs of pure fat in a month and once you start gaining it it's hard to stop, kind of like a downward slope. If you really want to gain weight I'd suggest you try the suggested one gallon of milk a day, but try whole milk rather than one percent, that's loaded with fat. Also eat lots of nuts, totally fattening, cook everything in oil, eat lots of eggs. One thing I also noticed was when I started eating a big breakfast every day, like with bacon, eggs, pancakes, sausage and whole milk, my hunger throughout the day increased. This may help if you have trouble getting full quicker. Thin people have small stomachs that are only used to handling so much food. Once you stretch your stomach and train yourself to eat more it will be much easier to eat more food, you'll be hungry more often and if you'd like, you'll be on your way to being as fat as you'd like - or in my case, I simply want to be beefier which seems to be working along with a regular workout focusing more on weightlifting and less on cardio.
